Most all of the Bose headphones will eventually experience a deterioration of the leather material. My own Bose headphones began to show signs of deterioration of the leather, and the blue colored Tempurpedic foam inside began to pop out of the seams. Fortunately, I was able to easily replace the leather ear cushions with new ones and they returned to like new condition. We have the black colored leather cushions and they will fit all the Bose Quiet Comfort series headphones.
